All a bit eerily familiar though. As I think I said with Nuno if this progresses over the next 24 hours it will obviously happen, but if it drags much beyond that, I'm not sure it gets done. If I didn't know any better I would say they are seeing fan reaction and panicking a bit.

I’d prefer Nuno but Benítez has won La Liga twice, as well as the CL and the FA Cup etc. He’s got good pedigree.

Plus appointing him would wind up the reds something chronic. They’d have to take that banner down for a start.
