I think you're underestimating how big a difference a manager who has used a system his whole career to high success implementing it would make versus a guy who was using it because he couldn't be arsed trying to improve the teams play and instead wanted to just scrape enough 1-0s to get through to next season.

We are not a big club, we are not relevant, sick of people trying to argue we are. We have a big history which is extremely dusty now.
