Im pretty casual NBA viewer these days but watched it a lot in the 90's, can anyone explain how the Nets are able to attracts 3 superstars whilst the vastly more famous franchise the Knicks can't sign a single half decent player ? Do the Knicks owners just not care or are they just incompetent despite trying their best ?

Takes balls to play for the Knicks. This is the easier path. They get to live in NYC without much scrutiny since the Nets have so few fans. It’s telling that it’s three of the more mentally fragile superstars have gone this route
