Originally, I'm a Chicagoan. My mom was a huge blackhawks fan and cubs fan. I was sort of into the Bulls during my childhood, but since I also spent time in Mexico, I pretty much grew up a soccer fan above all else (apart from Everton, UNAM Pumas in the Mexican league are one of my favorites).

I remember one day clearly however. I was down at University of Illinois and it was my freshman year of college, 1989. My best friend called me up, he went to U. of I. in Chicago. He just started going off all excited. "Dude, you gotta see this guy Michael Jordan...went to a game last night...guy's magical...check him out...etc." He couldn't contain himself. So I checked out some games and was hooked.

Michael got me into basketball. And the years of Ho, MJ, and Pip, along with part-time philosopher/full-time coach Jackson were simply top-shelf. Been a much more serious Bulls fan since then. Love Joaquim Noah and still wish they had Carlos Boozer. Rose is tops but feel bad for his continual injuries.

My story of why I became a Bulls fan is a lot less romantic than yours, @verreauxi I've just been a Bulls fan ever since watching Space Jam....

Injuries are killing us this season. There was a graphic on Game Time (and I presume ESPN seeing as it was their feed) last night, injuries have been exhaustive and whenever it looks to be clearing up, another key player goes down. Everton that.

So true. Bulls could have easily title contenders for the last few years if it weren't for the injuries.

Kobe struck down by a torn rotator cuff. Out of the All-Stars, very slight possibility he's out for the season.

B1G hoops fans - here's an alert. Maryland visits Indiana in Assembly Hall tonight of ESPNU - 9 Eastern. I'd bet the under, and think the Terps will likely come away with a win. It will be lively in B-town.

[Poor language removed] Blazers just can't catch a break this last month or so. First were suffering all these injuries to key players like Robin Lopez, Joel Freeland and now LaMarcus Aldridge and now tonight we dropped a loss at home to a lottery team literally right at the end of the game.

Between this and Everton's slide I may lose my mind.

How's Joel doing? Should really pay more attention to how he's getting on really.

Bulls have been better the last two games, decent wins over SA and @Dal. Noah's back :)

Prefer the Nfl a lot more, I was fortunate to live in Chicago during the second 3 peat, the Bulls team at the time were probably the greatest ever, good times. The introduction's above bring back great memories. I fancy there chances again this year.

Season too long, regular season matters little. Same with the NHL.
