NBA/ Basketball thread

I like LeBron. He's had the unfortunate burden (relatively speaking) of being the next face of the NBA after Jordan & Kobe. Which was only made worse as LeBron had a different style (which probably could be described as a more inclusive) than the Alpha Male Brand of basketball that Jordan & Kobe both used to win, which meant LeBron would never win over the disciples.

But as much as I like LeBron, the Warriors are cut from the same mold as the Spurs team that ran LeBron off the court in 5 games last June. A recent stat I learned about the Warriors is that around 53 times this year, they've led by 15 points or more at any given time during a game. And guess what, they have NOT lost any time they've lead by at least 15 points. In light of the Clippers' collapse last Thursday, it makes that stat even more impressive.

If the Warriors lose more than 3 times the rest of the way, I'd be shocked.
yeah i think the warriors will snag the title this year. probably over the cavs in 6 as lebron will drag the cavs to a couple wins. curry has just been too good this year, also kerr has done a much better job as a coach than a GM (suns fan haha)

This was The Clippers best chance possibly ever

Can't believe they bottled it in such a fantastic manner

3-1 up FFS!

Kobe Bryant is having a good chuckle now. Any chance of The Clippers winning something on his watch are now long gone you'd have to think

They will be challenging next year, just need to get some better bench players and they could do it.

I think it's more an attitude issue than a squad issue

They were cruising until game 6

That can change though if they get different players who know how to get it done. The playoffs could have been completely different if they would have gotten Paul Pierce and put the Hawes money to better use.

3-1 happens all the time. Listen to the cheese boy, though, there is nothing Everton about the Clippers, unless you believe Everton's history began in 1996. The Clippers are Wigan in the FA Cup Final with a 3-1 lead in the 70th minute, finding a way to lose it to Manchester City.

Also, Kobe's watch is done. He's just padding stats and cashing checks now.

Houston v Golden State starts tonight doesn't it? Should be a good series. Haven't watched many games aside from the Bulls this year, will have to watch a few of these though. Rooting for GS to win it all now.

Rooting for Golden State. I'm a Celtics fan by birth - lived in Boston in the Bird/Chief/McHale glory days - but as a University of Arizona alumnus, I am excited to see Steve Kerr excelling, particularly with a club like GS.

Think the Bulls should kidnap him and bring him 'home' to Chicago! :p

Makes me nervous when we go up this big in the first half. We always lose form in the second half.

Go Rockets!
