Presumably you have also been in the Ashley Young threads berating Ashley about his “indecisiveness” in the past for the frequent yellows he was picking up for the exact same fouls? (experienced, seasoned professional bookings) some of which he was getting a lot earlier in games than Nathan’s today?
He actually played better after the booking, might of focused him but only he knows. I know he was absolutely fine again and deserves to keep playing, absolutely excellent against Grealish who got in behind him because of a magnificent, pin point pass by (can’t remember). Anyone who has played the game will realise just how good the ball and then the touch were, players get done, every single player does at this level. What I did like was his booking, mere seconds afterwards by taking Grealish, who was in and away running at out defence by taking him out of the game did exactly what he should have, it’s part of the game and every team will do it.

@coleman=quality

well in again Nathan, keep it up
Young was a stop gap signing and has been utter 💩 hence why I think Patterson should keep the RB spot ahead of him. Patterson is a young player who was bought for potential at a time when we needed a new RB not one with potential, on signing him and looking at his limited games in the tripe league of the SPL whether being kept out by captain tavernier or not I Knew he wouldn’t be ready. Due to poor management here we had to throw him in as starting RB 2 seasons running when he and us would of benefitted from him going out on loan. As it is he’s got potential and has done ok in recent cameos that’s largely down to us as a squad being able to accommodate an inexperienced player as we’re a much more organised team than last year. Hope he continues to start games as ultimately that’s what he needs.

It was strange that he followed him across the back four so he was massively out of position then backed off and gave him so much space for the shot.
No it wasn't. City are superb at creating space. They regularly did it during the game and the fact that they scored a worldie from one such moment is making you point the finger. They were in that position about 30 times during the game, most shots were poor, or they chose to move it again
Patterson had a good game overall

If you watch every corner they had, we would push out to pressure the man with the ball, when they passed it along, our player would get back into position and our next player would push out. Which is exactly what Patto did except when he went back into position to pick up 2 city players, no one else pushed out

Thought he had a decent game last night, couple of times early on Grealish managed to drag him around a bit but he soon settled, only blot for me was his positioning when he got booked, got caught in no man’s land for the ball over to Grealish but he had the awareness to know he had to bring him down and take a booking for the team.

I thought he had another solid game, with him growing in confidence and experience each week. Still not the finished article, but an improving player.

If people think he had a bad game, well I think we're starting to see true colours.

He gets anything from 5-7 out of 10 in the media for last night's showing - maybe rather than "true colours" or "agendas" he's just one of those players that some people rate highly and some don't?
