He was one of the most over rated players of the last 20 years, utter pants for 3 years....thena decent 4 months.

Real needed a midfielder that was not cup tied for Europe, and he was a complete disaster for them.
He played 34 times for Real Madrid, that's either a lot of European cup ties or perhaps they didnt share your view that he was a complete disaster

Odd that people write off a bunch of incredible displays - including bossing the pants off Man City, amongst others - as 'too erratic' and 'not enough evidence' but will say that his one terrible game ever (I think?) against Arsenal is enough to say he's not good enough.

Interesting doublethink.

Think I slightly disagree pal.

It in my opinion would mean the team all of a sudden is more mobile with no Barry. Meaning as long as Jagielka has a quick replacement as well that we could then push up as a team an extra 10/20 yards. Win the ball back higher up the pitch, break quicker etc. What it would mean though, is perhaps playing a creative type on one wing (?????), and then Bolasie on the other to compensate for the lack of guile from a Besic and Gueye pairing. A proper goalscoring #10 like Sigurdsson and then Lukaku. We can dream hey?

I read that twice and still thought it said " as long as jagielka has a hip replacement " ha ha

Why dont you have a look into it then, rather than looking at his number of games.

He was average at best, but blues talked like he was a worldy, most over rated player for decades.

Are you talking about Ross????

I never said he was a worldy but what i will say is that perhaps Everton and Real Madrid should consult you for future player recruitment.!

Besic's problem is that he was a Martinez signing, so all of the people who still have a chip on their shoulder regards to Bobby's failed run as manager will look to find any reason to knock him

I hate Martinez and everything about him. But don't hate Besic.
So you're telling a lie there Mikey.

Besic problem is he needs to be on the pitch more. Training pitch then hopefully if he's good enough the actual pitch.
