Loads of people are saying he's still an unknown and some are taking the mick out of us for raving about his potential. When you add up the 3 games at the World Cup and the time he's played for Everton in friendlies you're talking about over 6 hours of football. Surely it's enough to start to get a rough idea of his talent. If you've not seen these games then either watch them or just trust us: he's already very, very good, and if he improves he is going to be incredible.
Prediction: Blues will be talking about him in the same sentence as Barkley, Stones and Lukaku by the end of the season i.e. our developing young players with world class potential.

On the subject of transfer fees, remember when James Beattie broke our transfer record in a whopping £6 million deal from Southampton less than a decade ago?

Time - it's a thing!

Surely it's a lot easier these days for top European sides to source talent - transfers are nowhere near as dangerous a game as they once were - which is why I don't give Moyes as much credit as some do for his transfer policy.

Great video this. We really have a promising young fella on our hands here :)

Funnily enough, if you watch the vid the majority of his "hollywood" passes actually came off!
.

That doesnt mean its the right ball mate. Thats not how we play, from deep midfield, short fast passing from the back.

We dont bypass a midfield unit with a good on the eye pass.

In 1984 Diego Maradona was sold for 5m, breaking the World transfer record, set 2 years ago, by his move to Barca for 3m.

So in 1983 4m was STEEP.

This is true. I was curious myself what the adjusted for inflation sum would be. According to Wikipedia Maradona joined Napoli in 1984 for £6.9m, which adjusted for inflation is £20.23m

Still nowhere near the Bale, Ronaldo, Neymar sums of today..

I remember Shearer going to Newcastle for 15 Million and it being considered a collossal sum. Now Shane Long goes for 12. I shudder to think how much Shearer would go for these days

When they were dreaming all this transfer shyte up, they shouldn't have bothered with real money. Should have used some sort of of transfer tokens you collect based on who beat who and won what. 20 tokens for Shane Long and not a token more, well 25 if he captures the snitch in the FA Goblet Final.
