I don't thinkk many managers have a problem with wheeling and dealing. Just that more than a few are no good at it.

You'd think you were living in a utopia seeing his job spec.

"Achieve nothing under no pressure whilst earning a cool £4m p.a!!"

He'd have renewed his contract by now, he's going mate.

There's a whole load of variables, to be fair. He probably doesn't know now what jobs will be available, how the team will perform, (whether we'll be in europe next year or whether we'll have won a cup) which of our players will still be here, what salary the board will offer, what our spending will be like in january etc.

The fact he hasn't signed means he hasn't decided he will stay, I agree, but it doesn't mean he's decided he will go. He could be waiting and seeing.

I wish someone would change the title of this thread.

Every time I see it I assume it's been bumped as he's about to sign and a little bit of wee slips out.

It just means 3 years of the same negative **** . He's never going to change. Our football will be boring and predictable. I for one have seen enough...

Have to say I agreed with this back in june, too but he's done excellently at playing attacking football so far this year.

More shots then any other team in the big five european leagues and a defence with more gaping holes in it than a brothel, it's like watching Kevin Keegan, ffs.

Bill will find a bit of money to keep him if thats the issue, knowing he can get it back the year after.

For me a European qualification and us looking like we could establish ourselves as the 4th best side in the league will see him stay.

Same as every season tho, Art, he just doesn't do surprises part of his problem is his predictability. Only 2 reasons he'd stay :

first: we get top 4

second: we get massive investment.

People are on the gear if they really think either is gonna happen.

Moyes is going nowhere..he's currently got the best job he will ever get in football, here or abroad. He will go if and when the club is sold, if new owners fancy their own man to come in.

That is a very fair point but the fact he hasn't signed suggests his own demons are rising, he's a very wealthy man and doesn't have to do a hand's turn for the rest of his life if he so wishes.

He strikes me as acutely aware of his own press and the pats on the head he gets outside of GP is of the patronising "ok at everton but thats it.... whats he won?".

If he's as ambitious as he makes out 11 years treading water here must make him ask if not the money - then why?
