He doesn't need to sell himself to that divvy. He needs to sell himself for another three/four years to supporters. He said himself he knew that some would view his continued presence as stale and want a fresh start.

What the fans think is irrlevent to him getting a contract at the end of the day, if that's all he wanted, he wouldn't of said anything and just signed the contract months ago.

I dont think so. He's a got an ego as big as Jupiter. He'd be horrified if he lost the support. He's well boxed off in the boardroom where they love him for keeping their investment safe; the trick now is to get fans onside so there's no recriminations when or if it goes pop during the course of his next contract. He's not daft Moyes. He knows it's starting to smell funny.
