Moyes on Goals on Sunday

This is becoming Blue Kipper II.

The OP simply noted DM was a guest on Goals on Sunday and in no time the thread has turned into Moyes being a megolamaniac, a dullard, disinterested, tactically inept, a poor mans Waletr Smith and so on. You really do have to question why us Evertonians like to call ourselves the most intelligent football supporters when you read such drivel.

I can't wait till we're back playing hoof ball, signing the likes of Mitch Ward and fighting relegation year in year out. Moyes Out.

What if someone comes along and does a Kendal Mk1?

I'm not being anti-moyes at all and I think he's done a good job my issue is the way it's seen as in someway horrific to even question him . If you look at our squad (I knows moyes has built it so credit to him for that absolutely) it finishes about where it should don't you think ? We spent £15m on felliani how many also ran clubs do that ? Whilst we pay pretty substantial wages generally especially compared to a lot of other clubs in the division .

I'm not campaigning for moyes to leave by any stretch but fans not entering into debate or get hammered for doing so seems unhealthy to me. I know they were big spenders but Those across the park replaced a manager that first time around won the double and got to two finals last year winning one .

****ging moyes for no reason or being critical for the sake of it should be frowned upon but is there much wrong with debate ?

nothing wrong with debate at all mate cos lets face it he`s turned us from an annual relegation scrap to a top 7 side but if he doesn`t sign then who are we gonna get? martinez? dont think so and don`t want him personally.the sad fact for me is who can we afford??? i personally think his not signing has to have some affect on the dressing room and maybe it has started to reflect in the results we are getting now.if it was 99 percent of the people on here we would sign and do it for the blue blood running through our veins but lets face it we are not managers

Moyes has pissed me off with the whole contract issue. Says it would be something easy to sort out, but then says he doesnt want to unsettle the squad and wants to focus on the matches at hand. Well i'm sorry, but knowing whether or not your manager is going to actually be there next season would probably have more of an effect on player morale than taking some time to negotiate the damn thing.

Seems clear to me that he's open to other offers, but i'd respect him more if he would just come out and say so.

We have no idea how the next bloke through the door will do mate he could be a new walker, moyes or even kendall and isn't that one of the amazing things about football ? Moyes' cv when he arrived was far from stellar and he's been a good fit whilst Walter smith should really have been a success . My personal choice if he'd gone in the summer would have been lambert but he's not exactly set the prem on fire whilst people tell me Martinez has a rep as being weak but for some reasons a host of chairman rate him and levy had him as back up if avb had fell through.

It's my stock phrase but if he went timing would have a huge impact in who replaced moyes , it could be a manager we've all heard of who pulls out an unbelievable season or it could be like moyes a manager who got promoted to the championship and maybe makes the playoffs.

We just don't know do we ? All we do know is everton have been here before and after dean, Kendall, catterick, ball & they'll be here after moyes goes as well

my guess is that he is waiting for a better offer from another club to play off against the Everton board - the way things are going lately that strategy might backfire

Sneaky feeling he may do a 'fellaini' and see how this season pans out. If it's another 7th placed trophy finish as per, he may walk.

He'll do well to actually find an employer first.

Good luck finding a chairman that will pay him £3.5m+ PA with no European experience and an empty trophy cabinet after ten years.

Spurs aren't the brightest bunch tbf

They've had two short lists in two years , the first one was Coyle & ancelotti and the second rodgers (before he took their job) & AVB with a bit of interest in Martinez (although I'm struggling with my memory on that so I'm not 100%) . What is certain is that despite the best efforts of some of those who surround him moyes was nowhere either list.

Whatever we think it doesn't seem moyes is someone they'll consider unless there is a change in attitude from levy.
