Moyes: "maybe the supporters don't know and expect more"

That's not what the poll is asking though, is it?

In the next week, we'll have more Evertonians visit this website that those that visit Goodison over the course of the season.

Forums possibly attract a certain mindset, but that doesn't devalue the opinion.

Is that unique visitors?

Like I said selection bias. If you post on a forum, you're likely to be more aware of the behind the scene details and you're more likely to not be happy.

If you just turn up, watch the game and are reasonably happy with what you see, you wouldn't have the desire to look for a forum to rant at.

Yep that's how most would work I guess, although there are plenty of clued up non forum users, like you say most here are more liekly to be clued up and also miserable.
I tend to come on here to reinforce my faith in the manager/players when something has gone wrong and to cheer me up.. May seem mad when everyone is constantly slated here but it works a treat. This place sorted me right our after Wigan for example.

you can spin the questions as much as you like -
to me the choice is very clear - either the fans are clueless or Moyes is clueless -
68% of opinionated people clearly states that the problem lies with Moyes -
there are more toaster cleaners than fans thinking that Moyes should be respected more -
anybody trying to argue that away needs to go into politics

Oh, yeah, this poll shows without a doubt that of the people who cared to answer it the vast majority think Moyes is out of line. Because he was. He messed up against wigan and then showed he didn't understand why the fans were upset.

Even his biggest supporters think he was clueless in that particular instance.

I'm just saying that's not the same as saying that most of these people want moyes out. I personally do but I don't think I'm in the overwhelming majority on that.

To be honest, I'd say the result from that Poll pretty much reflects the mood in the ground on matchdays now.

People are cheesed off with both the contract stuff and Moyes's increasing disconnect with the fans.

In the pub on Saturday and in the ground with the people round me in the Bullens, there is a growing belief that he feels he is bigger than the club and that we are being treated very shabbily my him.

Yeah there's loads in the gwladys around where I sit who moan about his team selections and subsistutes and the like. I wouldn't say he's universally loved, the contract stuff and the wigan game combined has annoyed a lot like you say.

It's just I think at least half think the good outweighs the bad.

Has anyone actually made a fair poll on our manager?
Something like
Title: Moyes in/out
Text: That is all

With 2 options..

Moyes in
Moyes out

No lead, no bias, just a black and white poll.
Anyone know if this has this been done?

Yep, it was one of the polls that got overwritten by a new one recently.

Feel free to start one though, mate.

Unless I'm losing the plot, the poll is asking a very specific question on an isolated incident...

You ever done one? It shows a tick box for the poll, asks how many options you want, then doesn't give anywhere to put the options up.

You know, the more I read this statement from him, it doesn't sound like he's having a go at the fans at all. If you couple this with Stubbs' remarks on the radio it sounds like he's fed up with the board. He's far too professional to directly criticise his bosses or to do any contract negotiation through the media, so this is closest he comes to complaining about them. If there's any criticism of the fans it's perhaps at the majority's ignorance at how poorly the club's been run, which isn't their fault as the board does everything possible to keep the regular fans in the dark.

He has publically stuck up for he board all these years but that doesn't mean he supports or has supported the way the club has been run. It just means he is a professional. You think he is 100% behind them after the Ofoe, Fer, Riquelme fiascos? You could tell from his voice how gutted he was about the Fer deal falling through, but he's never gonna come out and say, yes this organisation's run by a bunch of muppets.
