Moyes' Derby Record

They last won something last season, during Moyes' reign they've won the Champs League, been runners-up of it, finished 2nd, won an FA Cup & a league cup or 2 & have been in the top 4 with Champs League near enough every season. They've been '****' for about a season...

Good point that

Plus the 100s of Millions spent on players whilst Moyes has had only food stamps to spend

Its like taking a dildo into a flamethrower fight or something

They've in the main been a better team than us because they had more money to spend than us.

That would explain a slight favourable lean towards them in derby results in 10 years, but not the actual win/loss ratio.

4 wins in 23 games? They haven't been 6 times better than us in the last 10 years.

4 wins in 23 is shocking.

Wouldn't like to see the stats for away games vs United, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal either.

As others have pointed out we've bent over for them for years certainly since shanks reign from the mid 60s but Moyes style helps them.

Most of his derby games you can see we're beat before we start, we play like ****houses handing over the initiative from minute one absolutely the worst thing you can do with that mob.

Last years debacles were a stain on this clubs history and I expect exactly the same this game - when the pressures on Moyes goes to pieces.

Moyes pretty much sees losses to Liverpool as he does to United and Arsenal: shrug of the shoulders, complaints about less money to spend, mumbles something about it being the three points he's upset about losing. The last manager to take such a cavalier attitude to the Derby was Mike Walker. He was bollocked for it, and quite rightly so. This feller shouldn't be spared the same treatment.

Behave yourself. Last season they scraped past Cardiff and were below us in the league and he still bent over for them.

He spent all week before the semi telling everyone they were better than us. Despite their form being relegation form.

He's got an inferiority complex.

Excellent shout there Davek.
Of course the continual problem with Moyes is that Kenwright has made him feel that he is in the safest managerial seat in the PL.
However Moyes must himself now be aware that his status of being perceived by the media as a great Manager (despite winning NOTHING in 10 years) will be seriously damaged if LFC's new and unproven Manager puts one over him in the Derbies, and god forbid actually wins some silverware early on in the Analfield hot seat.

It is beyond appalling, there's no doubt about that.

The Alonso-Mascherano-Gerrard-Torres combo a few years back I don't have a problem with, 'cause they were certainly a good team back then.

The past 2-3 years have been an absolute embarrassment to watch though, with that team they've got.

Totally agree with you - to lose against a very good liverpool side is hard to take but to lose to what has to be the worst liverpool team in decades in inexcusable. I am still ashamed of that semi final defeat.
At least with our current team we look like we can score goals but, I have seen us go into too many derby games with high hopes only to come undone that I never get too optimistic anymore!
