I couldn't believe he said we're in good form going into the Derby. We've made a very good start to the season but the past few matches would not have us near the top in any recent form list. Moyes should be telling them we've dropped off the gold standard lately and we need to get back on it, and there's no better place to start than the Merseyside Derby.
Hopefully he gets them revved up behind the scenes in the same way he did for Sunderland in the cup replay last season. A performance on Sunday that get's anywhere near those levels of adrenaline and controlled power will blow those Kopite tvvats off the park.
Seen him there on Football Focus saying these games dont make or break a season and that he doesn't feel any pressure to win them.
Says it all. These playersof ours must be walking on the pitch as if it's just Reading or Stoke at home. No wonder we get mugged.
This is why he's the worst Derby manager of all time and why the disgraceful record will continue in the rest of the time he spends here. Hopeless.
Yeah, knew it was coming when they were talking.
Amazing how some people try to defend the guy on here when it comes to this, it is our cup final cause 1 actual final in 10 years shows that we won't be involved in any real ones any time soon.
Man needs to get a f*cking grip.
I'd applaud him for trying that, cant stand Nev in midfield in any circumstance, but that dreadful partnership needs breaking up one way or another, just cant see it though
to be fair, u can understand him saying that out in public as if we were then to go out and lose then the players/fans mite think, "oh thats our season over"... it matters what hes sayin to the players privately that will determine how they play (and what team he puts out ofc)Seen him there on Football Focus saying these games dont make or break a season and that he doesn't feel any pressure to win them.

similarly brenda came out with "i haven't even thought about the derby" on thursday.... moyes derby record is bad but whos to say we cant make brenda's worse!
If Moyes beats them at least once each season he'd get a lot of free passes off people who dont really rate him (or at least he'll be tolerated a lot more). The Derbies are bell-weather games for fans. Everton and Liverpool managers of the past have known this and acted accordingly, so Moyes downgrading of it is nothing short of bad governance of the cluib in that respect.
Now repeat after me:P23, W4, D6, L13 - Is this right?
Anything less than a win at home is unacceptable.
Worst Liverpool team in years.
Now repeat after me:
The BOY'S derby record
Those BOYS' derby record
David Moyes's derby record
FFS! You ARE Greek aren't you? Have some of these: '''' and ' Now put them in the right place. (Ahem!) Love and kisses, Blue Grammar Nazi
