Wait, is it a sale for 17m or two seasons loan with obligation to buy? If its a two season loan with loan fees for each season and then a sum like 17m it might be decent business. Just selling him now for 17m seems bad, tho I guess we couldve still made a profit if the PSG loan fee was high enough last season? Somehow i doubt it.

Psg paid 6m loan fee?
I believe Juve will be paying similar loan fees. So we’ve basically received 18m in loan fees on top of 17m transfer fee?

Can’t believe we’ve made a loss on him. £17m is really poor considering the goals he scored last season for PSG and his potential.

Doubt it. Loan fees and the fact we probably haven't paid all the money to Juventus yet would probably see us breaking even.

If thats the case, Id say its decent business, though Id thought we'd get twice that for him if you asked me a month ago.

I expect that for all the stick they get the decision makers actually know what is best for the club at this moment in time even if it results in an overall loss on the player, and that is not clear, let them get on with it. I have no clue about the financial situation of the club but they do, in detail, so I will just wait and see what happens in the remaining days of the transfer window

17 mil is poor. He's just come off a season with psg, where he scored 17 goals. We've been well and truly rinsed.

Have we though? PSG were not overly keen on getting him back other than on loan and it doesn't appear there were other teams knocking down the door to sign him. His performances in an Everton shirt do not show a 17m player.

The actual signing of the player can be questioned from the performances he has shown for us but i do not see why people think we should be demanding exorbitant amounts of money when the reality is no clubs were sniffing around for him.
