This has taken the place of the old favourite opener "Basically". "Basically Jim I always have my tea at 5.00pm"

This is a frequent remark now from folk appearing on radio, often to plug something or other or even just to spout an opinion on a phone in show.
It started as a genuinely polite thing to say but got taken up generally and is now ubiquitous, and thus meaningless.

"It's giving........". Not sure why but it really gets under my skin. For instance, somebody might be wearing a certain outfit and somebody will proclaim "It's giving summer" It's not even a real sentence and it makes me irrationally angry.
