My phone is getting on and is doing that thing where you have to fiddle with your charger and get it in a perfect position to charge it. Does anyone know if there is somewhere that can fix the charger port, like replace the port? It's not my chargers, I have tried all different ones. Thanks.

I'm sure it could be done if you went to a specialist

I'd try looking up if there's any phone repairers in your local area and asking them what they think

I had a phone for years before it died in the same manner as yours. I ended up getting a new one. It might make more practical sense to buy a new one than pay to get the current one repaired. You should be able to move your number over if you use the same SIM

Any computer repair shop mate will do it. Get it sorted as soon as, as there's always the chance it'll damage your phone further.

Try cleaning the charge port out with a paperclip or similar. You'd be surprised at the amount of crap that gets in there.

Alternatively it's pretty cheap to get it repaired. I think it cost me £20 to fix my old HTC.

Inserting a paperclip in the charger socket could seriously damage your phone mate. Much better to soak it in hot soapy water for 20 minutes. A 10 second blast in the microwave will be sufficient to dry it out. Thank me later.

What phone do you have? Some have built-in support for wireless charging. Something like this: https://www.maplin.co.uk/p/qi-charging-pad-a38ux might do the job.

edit: handy list to see if your phone supports it: https://www.mobilefun.co.uk/blog/wireless-charging-guide/
