What's the rest of "get in the van" go like?
Ask Pat, he started this.

Pay day loans being ridiculous and also advertising everywhere.
One I heard on the uk radio wanted you to have a guarantor so they basically are getting someone with good credit to be part of the loan agreement but still have an apr of 49%. Insanity.
Then there's the one that talks really quick when saying the small print but I think I heard 1000 something APR in there. That should be illegal imo.
Problem is, Brighthouse are not specifically targeting the weak-willed. They're targeting people who want products on a pay-per-week basis. I'm sure many of those people can afford the payments, and are prepared to stand the interest in order to spread the payments out.Agree with you on this. I've never used them but I understand why some people do. People barely able to afford to live but they are bombarded with advertising for the latest technologies. It frustrates them that they can't afford it and then Brighthouse pops up. They don't want to be in debt but end up caving in. On the other hand people should have will power and live within their means but Brighthouse etc know that some people simply won't do this.
Believe me mate, people who go to brighthouse cant afford it. The whole thing is cleverly marketed for this reason.Problem is, Brighthouse are not specifically targeting the weak-willed. But then there's the weak fools who want what they cannot afford. Can't really blame Brighthouse for that.

ONLY 9 pounds a week! or 36 a month, or 500 quid for the year for that little think worth like 50 quid otherwise. A ps4 in there costs over a thousand pounds to buy.
Not to mention their costs? the majority is money for themselves, without broadcasting it. You have to pay an extra few quid a week at least for not having home insurance, and they wont let you sign up unless you agree to that. Considering that 99.9% of their customer base won't have home insurance, its forcing money out of people, easily 450 quid minimum more than the customer should pay. You actually pay their item off within the first year, then the contract is 3 years long. So yeah, that 1000 quid ps4, more than half comes in as pure profit, and straight from their customers pocket who just go in there for the appeal of walking out of the store with said item, only paying a tenner.

THROWBACK!This. Do people not realise that headlights are as much to help other drivers see you, as they are for helping you to see? Trying to pull out of my side road onto a busy main road yesterday in the thickest fog, lost count of the cars with no lights on which I saw approaching with barely 50yds to spare.
You and me both, brotha'.And I'm sick of "Friends" repeats. I was sick of them 10 years ago.
'can we have a PS4 for Christmas, pleeeeease?!?'I know its a question of will power but I can imagine kids asking for that PS4 for Xmas when their parents can't afford it. The parents don't want to dissapoint their children so they sign up at Brighthouse. I feel like their advertising targets these kind of situations. Of course I see the other side of this and maybe it is just a question of will power.
