Following on an hour's round trip to an nhs dentist last friday to (5 visits later) finally have a crown fitted, only to be told it hasn't arrived in the post yet ... if only we had phones.
And following on my 20 or so unreturned phonecalls to various (around 5) chimney flue fitters who clearly don't need the work or don't know how to communicate with customers.... I give you:
Just been waiting in all day on the date given me by autoglass for a new windscreen. In the end I phone them - where are you? Not coming today.
The excuse - not reason - was that they didn't know what windscreen my car needed.
that's why I was phoned last week for a product code. I phoned back with two codes rom the screen that were no good. In the end I phoned tesla on your behalf who gave me the code based on my VIN. They also told me adamantly that autoglass have access to all this information and they shouldn't have bothered me.
It depends on which factory it was made in - I was told.
In 2019 there was only 1 factory making these I said.
Oh.
But you have the windscreen now?
Yes.
But you're not here.
Cant be done at your address. Have to come into Swindon for camera calibration. It will take 6 hours.
The car does this automatically - but anyway, you didn't think to phone me and ask?
Auto calibration? Thats news to us.
Well according to the dozens of people ive seen on social media who've had this done yes its automatic.
Oh. But you still need to bring it in.
What do I do for 6 hours? And why didn't you phone me and say this?
We have a waiting area.
For 6 hours?
There are shops nearby
I don't do shopping, besides, there's an Aldi and A B&M. 6 hours??
I make the appointment, for next Monday. The wife reschedule work so she's working from home that day.
10 minutes later the phone rings ... cant do Monday we can't calibrate that day ... how about Friday?
The country is well and truly in the bin.
