Midfield.......

Ive never seen this Alou Diarra, people must have far more exotic channels then me if they can catch live Bordeax games.

For me i am curseing the fact we didnt get Lassana Diarra in January he looks a top player, seems as if his head is easily turned though! If i had to pick players who i have seen play to come into the midfeild. They would be any combination of the following.

Fernandes
Lassana Diarra
Timoshuyik
Ramsey
SWP
Downing
Gonzalaz

I wouldnt mind Gera on a free, and my friends up north tell me this McDonald lad looks a promseing player, so i would see these as suplemenatary/consoladation signings.

I guess its all speculation, but for my money, Carsley was told that there will be serious compition in midfeild next season and he would have to fight for his place against young legs, this and the fact that there was a longer contract on the table closer to home elsewhere tells me that transfer planning for the midfield is well under way.

P.S. AVDM could always come good:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Where did he say this, pal?

Go for Joaquín, Arshavin & Fernandes (loan) plus some squad addition in the midfield.

Joaquín and Arshavin should be the most likely, we have the best chance of signing due to there club financial position and the player wishes.

The extra midfielder is likely a replacement of our Carsley, I know it won't happen but I still recommend Jamie O'Hara who I feel is an upgrade version of Carsley with youth on his side.

I can't see how Arshavin will come to us if it's got anything to do with his clubs financial position. The owner of Zenit is a billionaire. The players' wishes are another matter

Just reading between the lines mate like i say its just speculation. But last week Cars said he didsnt want to leave and will talk to the manager about a new deal. Now i could be wrong but i doubht money would have been the full fulcram of the conversation given that Cars has signed extention on extention in the last few seasons. So i guess a lot of the disscussion centered on Moyes's idea for the the development of the team and how he felt Cars fitted into it. Obviously a place where Moyes feels the need to strengthen is in Cars position being the senior member of the team. Perhaps names were being used as targets and i can never see Moyes gaurenteeing that someone is a first choice starter without a fight.

Maybe with some of the names mentioned Cars maybe didnt feel confident of the fight at this stage of his career and perferred to leave rather the fade away. He also states that he spoke to Fads over this weekend which leads me to beleive that the decison was made post a meeting with Moyes rather then something that has been in place for Months.

Thats my take/opinion on what went down but sure what do i know!

I am saying Joaquín's club not Arshavin I never said it to do with both of them, and we should see what actually happen in this summer on this matter.

No matter what the place is, people always think of flashy full backs.

Personally I think that a competent full back is the one who excels in defence.

A solid one, who can defend against any winger in the world is what we need.

Alou Diarra would be a great addition to the squad. Manny also.

Joaquin would be a dream, but can we afford him? And he's not the most consistent player in the world.

What about Lassana Diarra? Nasri? Ben Harfa? Gomis? Benzema?

There are some pretty good players, but will we have the resources to attract them?

are u serious, hes one of the hottest properties in the world and would cost atleast 20million

could say that about Ben Arfa and Nasri too, out of that guy's selections...

I like Football Manager as much as the next person, but I really wish people would stop using it to suggest transfer targets. FM can actually be quite a good predictor of unknown talent from time to time, but it's NOT good at predicting the possibility of actually SIGNING those players.

I am waiting for any good midfielders to come, I don't know when will anyone come to us? Just wait!!!!!. :@
