If I'm not mistaken it was when Murray played it off Keane for a corner, which they then scored from.

Keane has been a massive wet flannel bar the last two games in his short spell with us so far. I still stand by my wet flannel and bin comments as he to prove himself reliable this season imo. However after hearing about, koeman's size 12 boot option while seemingly willing to let Keanes foot fall off and dosing him up on pills last season, has made me think maybe that is why the flannel and the bin were the best options for the lad.

However here is one for ya, Mina hits form and Keane is dropped - who is going to care? .................

I think he looks incredibly assured at the moment. His passing is good. His defensive heading is good. He's not diving in and losing a yard.

I can't really remember Murray peeling off Keane at all on Saturday? He was pretty much in his pocket. Zouma has been impressive but I'm more worried about his rashness than Keane's atm (not that I'm overly concerned by either of them).

Keane's playing very very well at the moment. As is Zouma. They're forming what looks to be a good partnership. Hopefully it continues.

Agree entirely that as a team we're defending better, which obviously helps.

He’s always seemed like a defender that can only play well if the team/system is working.

I stand by what I said at the time, he was playing utter garbage.

He's playing better now, that doesn't suddenly make historical evaluations of historical performances (multiple in succession) somehow incorrect.

...i’m a critic but he’s doing just fine. Without trying to undermine him, I think Zouma is a key factor in his improved form. Centre Backs in particular are about partnerships and skill sets that compliment each other.

Yep. Not sure if a player can "just get quicker 4Head" but if he could, he'd be a top defender.

If there’s people you want to vault, go and find everyone that said Phil Jagielka was still our best centre back as recent as several games into this season.

Been absolutely boss in the air lately. He’s started throwing strikers out the way and jumping over them to win the ball. That bit of aggression is exactly what he’s needed for a while*.
