That's the thing though, I expect him to cost a lot more than that.

I forgot, with the pound in the dumpster that's probably true.

I'm really interested to see how he does against Spain. He's gotten much better defensively (and thought played very well defensively when we had 11 men against Italy and against Egypt) and now uses his size well getting people off the ball w/o going to ground (Fellani should be watching him).

Watched him a couple of times this Confed cup and he's been a decent player. He won't drastically improve the team but he'll fit in well and give us an option.

Played very well against Spain today and was given a crap red card by the ref.
Crap red card? Studs showing off the ground is an automatic red over here in the unmanly part of the world that isn't Texas.

I thought he was doing better than when I've seen him previously before that though.

He went in with both studs but looked like he was pulling out of it too late and made contact. Of the three red cards we've received, I'd say that one was the most warranted although I still don't agree with it.

It's amazing to me the rate of red cards the USA have picked up in this tournament vs. the other teams. Especially when you look at the some of fouls not even called by the referees.

One standard for the USA, another for everyone else it seems.

Bradley to be a Blue?

Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Michael Bradley is a target for Everton boss David Moyes.

Weekend press reports say the 21-year-old scored 16 goals in 55 games for Dutch side Heerenveen before moving to Monchengladbach last season.

But with the club only just managing to avoid relegation, Bradley is hoping to move on to a bigger stage with Everton leading the chase.

Toffees boss David Moyes has been tracking Bradley for months and is hoping to pip Aston Villa to the player’s signature.

If Bradley can be had for 5 million, go get him and let Moyes work his magic in polishing rough gems. He has the ability to score goals and we all agree the side needs depth. Beside, another Yank on the side would keep the US fans happy.

As much as I like Bradley, another DM isn't what we need right now.

I'd prefer any money be spent on a winger.

That said, I seriously doubt Moyes is going to spend what precious little money he has on another DM.

I think we will have more money this transfer window than last.

We got at least £8million from the FA Cup run + probably the same as last season.

Well this year we havent spent a penny on players, so I would hope we have more this Summer...................

Cant see it tho.

ANOTHER DM? We dont have any in the squad. We have players who can play there, like Rodwell and Neville, but neither are natural in the postion.

I think Moyes spent £2m net last season, so I also hope he spends a tad more. I would guess that we've got around £10-15m, given that we're supposedly tracking M'Bia and have made a bid for Naughton. The fact that neither is a winger makes me hope there is even more in the kitty, because surely Moyes will bring someone in? Of course, it could be that he marked Pennant for that role, or that he knows there will be extra money from selling a certain player.

In other words, I expect activity this summer.
