Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Yeah it's awful now isn't it. My brother drinks in The Storrsdale. That's a strange place. A bit like the Rovers Return!
Do you remember the name of the pub around the corner from the Eggy Arms Anj.? There were 2. One was the Old House at Home which was basically somebody's front room. What was the second.
The Ko Sing.

Chris's Chippy is on Rose Lane, which was still very good until lockdown when it closed for a close to two year refurbishment. I haven't been back since.

Steve's chippy in Aigburth Vale is still very good.

The Kingsman is a soulless Toby Carvery these days. I don't live too far away and the last time I ventured in last orders was 10pm - on a Saturday evening!

In terms of fights, this reputation was pretty unfair but it grew out of being a meeting place for pre-drinks for Fallows II in Speke. The rest of the time it was calm.
Fallows. That's a blast from the past lol It didn't exist when I lived in Speke but I still drank there for a while due to my connection with the football team. Spent a few nights in Fallows, usually a late drink when we were celebrating a trophy. Not my finest hour.

Was it The Traveller's Rest?

The Travellers Rest.

@Barnfred , have a fantastic holiday and cruise amigo.

Just watch out for the midnight buffet and the Holly Johnson tribute act , yeah you know the one "relax , don't do it ".

Enjoy!
I concur Freddo, have a great time mate. Frankie Goes To Hollywood, ther4e's a blast from the past, had a solo career as well didn't he? Americano blue jeans and chino's lol

As you Know Jazz, Daisy certainly isn't fussy and she loves the new food, gets very excited about it but she isn't half scratching a lot.
Cheers guys. All packed and sorted now. Might try and get my head down for a few hours.

Still not been able to book my hotel for my Liverpool trip. Getting beyond a joke now.

I liked it in there. Took Mr F there on one of his first visits to Liverpool, telling him what a nice pub it was. When got there, somebody had taken a knife to the cushioned seat backs and slashed them to ribbons. The look on his face was priceless!
There were some really good pubs in the area. I liked the Arms, but admittedly it could be a bit moody if you weren’t known by some of the locals.

The Rose (on Rose Lane) was very good in the 90s although it’s now run down, the ale isn’t great and Marie lets the clique run the place.

Off to Nashville on Monday, going to a wedding 100 folk and quite a few from Scotland, it’s our mates daughters wedding they are from Dundee originally

Never been heard it’s quite the place, we are there for a week, I’ll still be in me pit at 10 or maybe not
Lucky you, I had 2 nights there eight years ago and have been waiting to go back since then.

Can anyone help? I changed Daisy's food last month, She more often than not was on Harrington's but other stuff as well, last month I treat her to some a little bit more expensive food called Nood and since then, although I can't be sure exactly, she has been scratting like hell, she definitely doesn't have fleas. Can changing food affect things like that. I am going to try her on some Scrumbles this month.
Dogs can have allergies and one of the most obvious signs is scratching ,give her what is left of her food that she likes and as little as possible of the one affecting her . I wish I was near and could help .

Just back from our day at the seaside with a lovely crescent moon low in the sky on the journey home. Had a brillIant if slightly expensive day, still it’s their inheritance lol . Went to the fair and the three eldest decided to go on a ride but Jessica wasn’t tall enough, she sobbed and was only pacified by Nanny volunteering to go on the ghost train with her, which the rest of the family thought was hilarious as I haven’t been on a fairground ride for years. Jessica’s only five so I was a bit worried she might not like it, not a bit of it she loved it and wanted to go round again as for me I’ve not laughed so much in years.
