Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

A local of mine back in the day, remember we use to play space invaders in there, seen a few scraps in there as well, good pint of bitter back in the day
Don't remember any fights. Always seemed relaxed enough in my time. It was literally at the end of the road for us (the merch navy lads) and we tended to be go in packs, I suppose. Remember the Aiggie Arms being slightly tenser. That was our alternative if we were feeling adventurous ?

Was it Chris's? I've got my brother on the case. It's doing our heads in now!
The Ko Sing.

Chris's Chippy is on Rose Lane, which was still very good until lockdown when it closed for a close to two year refurbishment. I haven't been back since.

Steve's chippy in Aigburth Vale is still very good.

The Kingsman is a soulless Toby Carvery these days. I don't live too far away and the last time I ventured in last orders was 10pm - on a Saturday evening!

In terms of fights, this reputation was pretty unfair but it grew out of being a meeting place for pre-drinks for Fallows II in Speke. The rest of the time it was calm.

The Greenhills was my go to if I was drinking locally. Still is??. First time I got drunk was in The Greenhills.

Yeah it's awful now isn't it. My brother drinks in The Storrsdale. That's a strange place. A bit like the Rovers Return!

Morning all, hope you're all good, weather is still warm and sunny here so we've just been up the nature trail, I didn't have a choice mind, the Beagle led the way today lol She ate a cup cake case yesterday, she is a nightmare for eating stuff off the floor, drives me nuts lol

I plugged my smart meter box in the other day, I've turned it off again, it is depressing seeing how high the bill is and that is without gas being used, not looking forward to winter, think I will buy a single duvet for the front room for us to get under.

Still haven't sorted the kettle, luckily I hadn't chucked the old one out, it was still working just looked a bit worse for wear, all the paint chipping off but it works. Suppose I better get on tesco website and do some shopping.

Enjoy the day all.

The bar wasn’t too bad there, but like the Kingsman it’s more of a restaurant now. The Taverners did my head in too.

The Storrsy is a very strange place. I drank there many moons ago, but it went downhill. The last time I went in they had forgot to do the order.

Can anyone help? I changed Daisy's food last month, She more often than not was on Harrington's but other stuff as well, last month I treat her to some a little bit more expensive food called Nood and since then, although I can't be sure exactly, she has been scratting like hell, she definitely doesn't have fleas. Can changing food affect things like that. I am going to try her on some Scrumbles this month.

no idea T but mine are fussy .

Bakers complete makes them go hyper and cheese give Rosie the trots

@Barnfred , have a fantastic holiday and cruise amigo.

Just watch out for the midnight buffet and the Holly Johnson tribute act , yeah you know the one "relax , don't do it ".

Enjoy!
I concur Freddo, have a great time mate. Frankie Goes To Hollywood, ther4e's a blast from the past, had a solo career as well didn't he? Americano blue jeans and chino's lol

As you Know Jazz, Daisy certainly isn't fussy and she loves the new food, gets very excited about it but she isn't half scratching a lot.

I think it can. Can't speak for dogs but our last cat was definitely allergic to Whiskas. She would start scratching and even try to pull her fur out - as of the itch was so maddening.

Awful, hopefully changing to scrumbles will help, if not, I will try Harrington's again to see if it makes a difference. I've still got a 2.9kg bag of beef Nood unopened yet which I will have to open as she doesn't have enough to last until next week when I get paid.
