Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Back home. Traffic jam free journey - two and a half hours. That's more like it. For the first time I noticed my Dad seemed to be struggling, he's definitely failing a bit. When I got there on Monday he was in his pyjamas and dressing gown Unheard of! He said he had not slept well and was really tired. He was out of breath walking round Asda today. He's very slim so it's not because he's overweight. I think it is just old age catching up with him and him refusing to take things easy. I've told him to get a cleaner - he won't hear of it. It's not a money issue, he can well afford it. I just think he doesn't want anybody in his house or nobody could do as good a job as he can. To be honest you could perform open heart surgery on the kitchen floor without any fear of the patient becoming infected!
My thoughts and prayers are with you. My Dad was 88 and my mum was almost 94 when they passed - they still left a huge void in my life

Anj. He just has the same affliction as most of his generation. He's stubborn.

Trust me, I don't plan on going for a loooooong time yet. lol I'm hoping for at least 10 years of misery at Bramley Moore. ;)

I am 57 next month DV - we have both suffered as Evertonians and it goes on :)
What day in August would that be? I’ll be celebrating 26 years of being married on the 17z
Mrs BR and I are 30 years on 11 July DV. Been through a lot, all four parents gone. Plenty of ups and downs but thankfully hanging in together - one wonderful daughter. She is a joy to us.
