Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

How old is your daughter now?
16 Sass.

That's amazing. What a brave girl. The difference in the X rays is astonishing - but also shows how big the surgery was.
It was a 6 hour op Anje. Me and Mrs B had to go and find something to do in central London to kill time. It was the longest 6 hours of my life.

The nurses on the ward were absolutely fantastic. Such lovely, caring people and so good at what they do.

Welcome to more ramblings with Gwladyslol. Went to Sawtry this afternoon, village where Mr G. was born. Walked through the woods, the bluebells not quite in full bloom but still looked lovely. Think the purple flower is an early flowering purple orchid. The view from the top of the hill is looking towards the A1. If you zoom in you can just make out two lorries travelling South.B06F8288-C6CC-400F-B5FE-F58944A8B7D9.webp15FF4DCD-4B29-41BF-B132-B8BCC844FCD5.webp3D25F8D5-AB2E-44EA-AA60-7B275D54EEA4.webp2A8DE503-8029-4334-B7A3-25ED83ACC784.webp

In 1969 I bought a brand new Capri. Metallic blue was the colour. Was devastated 8 months later when a guy lost control on ice, hit me head on and virtually wrote it off. They decided to repair it even though it had extensive damage. It also got caught up in a Ford Motor Co. strike and shortage of parts meant that repairs took 6 months. Got rid.
My Dad also had a metallic blue Mk1 Capri - his had a black bonnet and roof. It was a G reg from the days when number plates went ABC123A. I'm sure it was an early midlife crisis car given that he had three children - deffo not used as a babe magnet!

Good evening friends. The journey to Liverpool was tortuous. Traffic jams everywhere. I started on the A1, roadworks about a mile from home caused it to grind to a standstill. Decided to go across to the M6 via the A66. A66 at a standstill for ages then the M6 was gridlocked. 4 hours it took me. Nightmare. However aw this while at a standstill near a farm shop on the A66. Just your average every day camel.

All the Oasis stuff on BBC over the weekend has made Karl prominent in my thoughts. A very brave man.

@Gwladysover loved the photos. Bluebells are lovely but they are a job clearing up all their stalks once their time is over. Clearing the beds for planting the summer plants is a chore for me I admit- love a nice garden but not so much the maintenance of it.

@peteblue curious as to the song choice? What inspired that?

It just struck me that there’s more to life than the crap we are served up with. It’s also a really great song that people should think about and put politics and tribalism aside. Probably sounds corny…..

No not at all. Messy’s coffee shop has the most diverse topics on the entire site and the only constant is the honesty and good will of the visitors.

I will be checking the small print about Tories though ?
