So you know they say it comes in threes

Furnace packed in $5k

Two new tires for Murano $700

Dryer packed in $700

Happy Monday ( could be a band )
Well hopefully that is the end ,tyres are cheap there ,we are looking at new summer tyres and they are nearly 1000€ for a top make and 600€ for rubbish with an exchange rate of 1.63 to the euro that makes your tyres really cheap.
I was looking at the Murano as we had a Juke ,which I loved but they are too heavy on gas for us .

23.4 miles. That’s how far my pedometer tells me I have walked in Liverpool since 8am Saturday. So many sights to see but ably fuelled by great food and the odd beer…

One more day to go on my holiday 😀
That's almost as far as @Gwladysover walked in one morning on her first tour of Liverpool lol. If you are at a lose end and have time why not pop to Sefton Park and have a lovely stroll around the park and visit the Palm House and then grab a bite to eat on Lark Lane.

Have a great time anyway AT.

Crap day yesterday.

Mum had yet another fall and badly cut het arm and leg. District Nurse will come out today to put right the dressings that I've surely messed up.

The situation is ridiculous , despite my best efforts she is clearly not safe at home and even though i am constantly on their case the local authority wont put her into a care home.

Banging my bloody head against a brick wall.

Crossed my mind too, about half of a Jazzy tour.🤣

Do feel for you and Granny. Although we were happy to look after Mum at home, she hadn’t quite reached the point of going into care, the fact that she lived with my brother was an excuse not give us any extra help. When they came to assess her situation, they asked me if I was happy to do her personal care, what could I say other than yes, I couldn’t refuse and let my Mum down but at the same time it let them off the hook. She had to go into hospital for a chest infection and we had to fight to keep her in there as they were keen to say she was fit to come home when she clearly wasn’t. When she did come home from hospital for the last time, she was given two care assistants to put her to bed and get her up again in the morning, (although it was obvious she wasn’t going to be getting out of bed) nothing else no washing etc. and we were expected to pay. My brothers wouldn’t like me saying this and I do feel slightly ashamed but in a way I’m glad she slipped away when she did, not because of the position I was in but because it hurt me so much seeing Mum not getting the proper help and care she was entitled to.
Sorry this won’t have helped your mood but just wanted to say I know how I felt in a similar situation. Sending thoughts and best wishes💙

Sorry to hear that mate. They must be really short of places. When Cal's mum had a fall they took her in straight away. Your mum's had 2 now.
