Cal had bad knees. She liked a hot bath but always had to call me to help her get out. Suited me as I always got brownie points.Exactly this - I got stuck in one of those ones with legs on when we were on holiday in Cornwall last year. I was scared in case it tipped over and had to shout for help![]()
Edit it to make it smaller. Even I can do it.The sky tonight, both east and west was fantastic. I took a photo of our tree, facing eastwards with the big tree in the background. I was going to post it earlier but it said it was to big to load…
Mine was a RS. Still loved her though. You only get one Mum.
Mine hates football though![]()
BeautifulWent over to Burghley as it was a lovely afternoon for a walk. Here’s a couple of pics, me trying to be arty (and failing) in one with sun setting behind the trees, one for you @blue1948 perhaps you can identify the fungi. Glorious sunset when we returned home followed by another great result, been a good day.

She'd have coped better I think. She had a job and friends down here and could drive too. She was also larger than life.It must have been incredibly difficult for you Fred, the only positive is that if had you gone first she would have had to cope and go through all the emotions that you went through. Best that it was you who had to do it and save her that distress……
File it for ten years timeWhen I started my day I never anticipated reading getting out of bath techniques![]()
I’m really sorry for your loss, and what a beautiful person she must have been. Us lesser mortals can only aspire. virtual hugsWish I could give this post a hundred likes Val. My Cal was the same as your fella. Weird but I never ever thought she'd be the first to go.
You didn’t have your sorrows to seek.Mine was a RS. Still loved her though.
She'd have coped better I think. She had a job and friends down here and could drive too. She was also larger than life.
But having said that she also had a fragile side that only I ever saw. So who knows. I'm coping a million times better than I'd have thought.
No I get what you mean now mate. I wouldn't want her to go through what I had to. I wouldn't wish it on anyone tbf.And that’s the thing Fred, you wouldn’t have wanted to give her the pain you suffered. You’ve coped and really that’s all you can do …sounds harsh and cold but that’s not the way I mean it. It’s different writing words than speaking face to face but if we ever met you’d get what I mean…..
Mine doesn't understand football anymore.Mine was a RS. Still loved her though.
I've told you before mate, you're an inspiration. She'd have coped better I think. She had a job and friends down here and could drive too. She was also larger than life.

Me too mate.I've told you before mate, you're an inspiration.
Look forward to seeing you again in February.
