Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Morning all on this exciting day! Mr P’s birthday- meal out in Liverpool this afternoon with friend and family, Bramley Moore test event and overnight at the Titanic- do Mondays come any better. Hotel is fully booked - no surprise there - so we are going early to try and get a parking space at the hotel as there is a parking exclusion zone and roads closed around the ground from 4pm I think.
Just to prove I’m not mean only buying him a £2.50 ticket for tonight, I’ve paid for him to have his car remapped- waste of money if you ask me but he’s delighted so happy days.
Have a great day everyone. There’s no WiFi in the ground tonight but I’ll put some pics up of the ground when I can 💙
Wow what a day ,do you know what remapping is Val ? Hold on to your hat ! If you could take a short video to let us all listen to the atmosphere I would be eternally grateful .

Hi folks. I've had a very productive day so far. Overtime this morning then a huge clear out of my clothes. Three binbags full of don't like, don't fit and, shamefully, never worn. I took them to the charity bins at Tesco so The Salvation Army can hopefully make us of them.
Daughter is moving put in a couple of weeks. I went to see the house she has rented yesterday, it's only about 20 minutes walk away from us. It is lovely. She spent the afternoon organising utilities, insurance, internet, buying a washer and a fridge freezer. "I hate being an adult" she said. 🤣
I've been thinking about Everton, Dyche and Moyes overnight. I'm wondering if Dyche lost the team when he clipped Patterson round the head. You just don't do that- even as a joke. I now think we've been lacking in managers with people management skills. Koeman was a bully, as was Benitez. Dyche seems to be cut from the same cloth. I'm not sure about Silva ( he is the one I thought we let go too soon) Lampard was just rubbish. Martinez and Don Carlo ( sigh, I miss the Italian knitwear collection) were probably the only two who actually possessed the so called soft skills since Moyes last left.
Hoping for a draw in the ManU Spurs game.
Have you changed your mind on the Moyesiah Anj?

Have a brilliant day and happy birthday to Mr P

Isn't it nice not to have to stress about Everton anymore? A calmness has come over me , I feel chilled and quite like it.

A proud old day yesterday. Little old Southport play representative teams in the Lancashire and Cheshire league and amazingly after the first round of matches ( only another round to go ) we are top of both divisions.

We had a a strong and experienced women's team so that wasn't a surprise but on Saturday our two best men's players dropped out and I decided to try 2 young teenage brothers as it would be good for their development and experience playing against much higher ranked and older guys. The young boys were magnificent and not only did the team win every match but our 14 year old went unbeaten in every game which is absolutely remarkable. As you know I'm not a parent but I got a small inkling of what a proud parent must feel yesterday.

Anyway have a lovely day everyone ( especially Mr and Mrs P.......photos definitely required this time unless they are if food 😂)

Slowly but not completely. Obviously we are not going to win all our remaining games but if by the end of the season we are placed between 10th and 13th then yes, definitely! We have to play Brentford and Man U so those could be a good 6 points to get. I'll be really sad if we don't beat United.

Think we have a very good chance of beating United

Wonderful day ahead of you Val. You must be so excited about actually getting inside the new ground. Really looking forward to hearing all about it.

You do get close to the kids you coach and from my own experience it’s lovely to see them blossom into adults and have time for a chat with you.
