I had a problem when I built my house ,we were exposed to the winds and the brick pillars kept snapping ,after three insurance claims the guy suggested I leave a two centimetre gap below the panels -job done they never fell again ,now the bushes and trees have grown behind so the dynamics have all changed.Three years ago I started a project to replace my garden fence , wooden posts which kept snapping at ground level and trellis- type panels always breaking. Very strong southerly winds just whipped across the fields unhindered and often broke a post causing the whole fence to panel to fall and put weight on the next post . Always in a winter storm , usually 6 o’clock at night when it was dark , trying to get it back in place it was a nightmare. I got a builder to put in concrete posts and slide in solid panels , unheard of in this part of Scotland , I think I put some photos on here at the time. So far so good. Propping up fences in the middle of a storm is a nightmare, well done on getting it done.
Too soon for me to change I think anyone coming in would have had a more positive outlook and the team followed .Looks like I got it all wrong. We are playing so much better and the results are wonderful. I hold my hands up “he’s got red/grey hair and I don’t care“. I hope it continues
