Absolutely freezing night but a beautiful celestial display with a cloudless sky. Not a great picture but Venus is so bright against the Waxing Crescent Moon:



In true BBC fashion, other planets are also available this evening and easy to spot (Jupiter and Mars).

Good evening folks. I am not liking the weather forecasts for the weekend- amber warnings of snow. Hopefully we will still be able to get away on Sunday.
I hope Fred has arrived safely and is settling into his holiday.
Not much to tell you about today - hairdressers this morning then took the car to the hand car wash. You can now tell it's white!

Good morning all on this cold day here ,more snow yesterday but as it has been melting as fast we don't have a lot of cover ,I have probably mentioned that we like to have snow in the winter as it is so dark .
I hope Fred has actually arrived at his holiday aparthotel by now but I think he might not if it was the flight after midnight he took ,yes I have been stalking his possible flights .I remember when James came and we were all on flightpath or some site and we came to the conclusion he had come in a light aircradft and landed somewhere near Burnley ,to find out later he had been in London ! Detectives my asre
I hope all others had a good night and have a wonderful day today ,one thing is I watch the game on a SA'n site that I pay for of course .
Good luck to the blues today but I suspect if we don't win the cloud will have a silver lining.COYB

Morning all. Overcast and freezing here. Pigeon currently risking breaking its beak in an effort to get water from the frozen birdbath in the garden. Taking the decorations down later which I always find slightly sad still there is always Everton to lighten my mood later!

Afternoon all. Just waiting for a delivery then off to sons to watch the match. Don’t think we’ll win but I’m sure I’ll be properly distracted by my little granddaughter. Feel like I’m just waiting for the onslaught of the snow at the moment- the forecast is a lot of snow for us which is unusual. Hope it doesn’t start to snow before the end of the game as I will be on my way home if it does - I don’t do driving in the snow, especially over Parbold Hill (@jazzy will understand).
Looking forward to an update from @Barnfred 55. Hope you get to the airport safely tomorrow @anjelikaferrett.
