Dunno where to post this but handing in my resignation at my current job today as I got a decent and more future-oriented offer elsewhere.

Somewhat chuffed, the last 6 months or so at current place were filled with lies and frustrations... Hope the new place ticks better!

How's everyone, by the by? I rarely post here but read a fair bit, hope everyone's doing as good as can be!

Good afternoon friends. Just finished the now customary siesta and are setting off for a beer. Moving day tomorrow. I need to tell you about the breakfasts at this hotel. In addition to the fresh fruit, ham, cheese, yogurts, tomato, olives and cucumber, the last two mornings have featured pizza, chicken pasties and veggie samosas. I approve!

Just handed my notice as I said and basically barraged the obnoxiously positive HR with the truth about how things are and what they're ignoring.

Hopefully, I've ruined her day! lol

Hi folks. Just had a visit to our favourite beach bar where we met a Scouser, who lives in Amsterdam and her Dutch husband who had just arrived. A few beers later and a discussion about Flanagans, The Swan ( Wood Street) and The Lobster Pot I feel we are best friends. We were also told by a Greek gentleman from Athens who was also on his hols ( and who had a non yappy, very well- behaved senior dachshund called Pookie with him) that the beach bar did amazing food. However this was not currently available because the chef had gone for a swim. Sure enough, some time later a cheery mature lady came out of the sea, waved to everybody, picked a few herbs from nearby pots and made her way to the kitchen.

Update on the fence which is a light shade of blue rather than royal blue. Son in law is a Manure supporter so he was doubly surprised to see the fence not only painted but in Man City blue.
Moral of the story is when asked by wife what should be done regarding a fence - don’t reply “Whatever you like”. lol
