Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Songwriters were much better too in the previous decades, lots of songs were proper stories. Though I wasnt a big fan I always liked Mike+the mechanics the living years, i read the lyrics the other day- Powerful - so checked their silent running lyrics they're class too. Jim Morrison and Springsteen imo though the best singer/ Songwriters.
Totally agree about Springsteen. Awesome. As storytellers go though, how about Squeeze or The Kinks? Up The Junction is definitely in my top 10 favourite songs.

Hi if you are a regular visitor to this thread can you like it please. I just want to see who has been looking. Don't worry if you are shy and don't want to I just have too much time on my hands. I can't tell you how much all the kind words have meant to me over the last few months. When you see all the bad things that go on its refreshing that a bunch of people that have never met me have tried so hard to keep me going. Whatever will be will be but if I ever needed a reason to keep fighting you have given me one.

My best memory is oddly staying up in 1998. We were a mess and might never have got back. Whenever I watch highlights of that match I get a tingle in my spine. Another game that brings tingles to my spine home game against United in 2005 when Ferguson scored. I could feel that stadium rocking and I wasn't even there. I'll try and think of some more and post them in a bit.
Great to hear from you mate. I echo everything you said there. The people in here are absolute diamonds and the biggest diamond of all Messy is your good self. You've been an inspiration to me the last couple of months and this thread has been a great haven for me whenever I've felt a bit down. Thank you mate, and thank you everybody else too, including all the blackmailers and stalkers out there. That's you Sassy in case you were wondering ?

I feel a connection with the people in here but you've struck a chord with me. We've both been through the mill. This phase of my life has been a lot different and being able to come in here for a chat with all you lot has really been good. I love talking Everton so if ever there was a right place to be.

This somehow reminding me of a time where I was passing through London for something and I had a few hours to pass for my next train.

I sent a text to about 10 people at once saying 'i'm at .... Pub for the next few hours'.

I was pretty pleased with myself, sat back and waited for the floodgates to open.

No one turned up lol

Not controversial at all.

If the first had never been made, it`d be hailed as a scfi masterpiece.

It`s just that nothing can ever live up to the first, as it`s perfect.
I was about to say exactly the same. Even Zimmers soundtrack did well to create the atmosphere that Vangelis did so brilliantly on the original.
