Totally agree about Springsteen. Awesome. As storytellers go though, how about Squeeze or The Kinks? Up The Junction is definitely in my top 10 favourite songs.

Another game that brings tingles to my spine home game against United in 2005 when Ferguson scored. I could feel that stadium rocking and I wasn't even there. I'll try and think of some more and post them in a bit.

Great to hear from you mate. I echo everything you said there. The people in here are absolute diamonds and the biggest diamond of all Messy is your good self. You've been an inspiration to me the last couple of months and this thread has been a great haven for me whenever I've felt a bit down. Thank you mate, and thank you everybody else too, including all the blackmailers and stalkers out there. That's you Sassy in case you were wondering ?

I feel a connection with the people in here but you've struck a chord with me. We've both been through the mill. This phase of my life has been a lot different and being able to come in here for a chat with all you lot has really been good. I love talking Everton so if ever there was a right place to be.

This somehow reminding me of a time where I was passing through London for something and I had a few hours to pass for my next train.

I sent a text to about 10 people at once saying 'i'm at .... Pub for the next few hours'.

I was pretty pleased with myself, sat back and waited for the floodgates to open.

No one turned up lol

I was about to say exactly the same. Even Zimmers soundtrack did well to create the atmosphere that Vangelis did so brilliantly on the original.
