2025/26 Merlin Röhl

We haven't bought him yet and I highly doubt we are going to pay money out for him then sell him a few weeks later Zat. Also in regards to the 'robust players' comment, that surely applies across the board so I'm guess we will be looking to move the likes of Branthwaite on also based on your logic as he doesn't seem very robust these days does he.

Its from Moyes, its not "Zat logic".

No its you Zat as its you that wants to sell a player due to their injury history. Moyes has only spoken highly of the player mate.

The logic is flawed though.

Manager explicitly stated "robust players".

Manager signs injury prone player.

Manager talks up player.

Anything can happen before the summer. I'd be focused on his injuries.

Bit slow receiving the ball on the half turn and dithers a bit too much but he will adjust to the pace and demands of the league and he covers a lot of ground. He looks to have a lot of potential.

Covers the pitch like a gazelle.

He loses ball in silly areas sometimes but there is no denying the lad has something.

Like the fact he was on Lark Lane with his camera last week just taking some pictures.
There's something about him that I really like. He's not produced much yet but you just get that feeling ( at least I do ) that's there's some quality about him.

I think with more prem experience over the season, injuries permitting, he will get a foot hold of his position and be a very useful squad player to have around.

If we get rid of all the injury brigade from the squad then there will be hardly anyone left. Managers say lots of things, most of it is nonsense mate. I pay little attention to what he says, more interested in what he does tbh.

True injuries in the past have been a worry but sure the club have done a medical on him. Will kno his history ect hopefully now is over that and can kick on has been spoken about as a talented player. January will be a massive time for him as gana will be gone, i think the lad has shown bits that looks like he could do well here only time will tell

Same would be different if was looking to get a player like we had with gbamin with his injury record as would be a huge risk. Club will have done checks on him and players to get knocks

He has that which you cant teach: size and speed. Hes elite from a physical standpoint, so the real question is can he develop his ball skills. If his ball skills ever matched his physical ability he would be nearly unstoppable. As a fan you cant help but hope he hits that, but the reality will likely be less. But if he gets close enough to the max potential...

He doesn't look technically deficient to me mate.

I do however think that he needs to get up to the pace and physicality of the English game.

Got high hopes about this one
