And when he’s just stood there from 2 corners with his thumb up his ass, or when he’s barrelling into the back of players - is that because he’s out of position or it it just because he’s not very good?

Just in general with how poor he is possession. I'm not excited by the prospect of him getting more game time in the middle.

Seems to be getting a free pass because he's playing from the right but I fear a lot of people are going to be disappointed when he's given a run in the middle too.

Not a free pass, but like O'Brien (and Armstrong), how can you properly judge a player being used so irresponsibly?

He could play centre mid for a Moyes or Dyche team funny enough, but I think he'd have a tough time keeping the ball if you want to dominate possession.

He's a bit of a pointless player really.

I thought when he first started playing in September he was lightweight and too slow to get to loose balls around the pitch.

Eight months on and nothing has changed.

Waste of a spot today when you could've just started George on the left and moved Ndiaye fully on the right with licence to come in.

He was a CAM in almost all his games for Freiburg. Pressed high and shot from distance often. Definitely not a winger, agree that I’m currently dubious over him playing in central midfield. Would rather he play further up the pitch than KDH, but Moyes insists on playing both out of position exclusively

What league do people think his level would be if he couldn’t run quickly. You’d never be splashing £20m on him if there wasn’t an obligation to do so.

He’s nowhere near it even for either that you’ve mentioned in the middle. They don’t like midfielders who give the ball away as cheaply as he does.

He might be better off swapping with KDH if he’s gonna play. Garner KDH is a bit lightweight as a two though.
