Don't agree with slating other leagues. There are different paces of course and styles of football but Depay is good enough to succeed in the Premiership. Suarez was good in Holland and great in the Premier League and now plays for Barcelona. He took time to adjust to the Premiership and only scored 4 in 13 games in his first season. Henrik Larsson was brilliant in Scotland and went on to impress for Barcelona and Man Utd. Depay has the class and skill and ability to be our best player. Mourinho has admitted it's a shame he couldn't give him chances.

Jesse Lingard is a better player

If Depay was that awful, a club like United wouldn't have paid the money they did for him.

He's an undoubted talent who just hasn't had a good time at a particular club. There's loads of players who play well and are in good form at one club but move away and lose their confidence. Any signing is a gamble for this very reason. I personally would love us to sign him.

Some players just struggle at certain clubs. Remember Juan Sebastian Veron? Was considered one of the best players in the world in his position, went to United and bombed.

TBF Suarez hit the post so many times that season, so I'd say luck played a part in him not getting more goals. I still agree with your overall point and could see depay thriving in a different setup.

Lingard certainly applies himself better but to suggest he is a better player is very bold.

This is what I'm struggling to understand koeman is struggling to get the current players to apply themselves as per his instructions & he wants depay who for want of a better phrase makes luakaku's workrate look like stracqulersi
