Memories of EFC surprising you (in a good way!)

I think it's fair to say that we need Everton to pull one out the bag if we're going to progress on Saturday. Our form is probably our worst for over 10 years but you never know what might happen at Wembley! Magic of theFA cup and all that...

So when can you remember Everton really shocking you with a boss performance when you were least expecting it?

I expected it to be more than 4 on wednesday, does that count?

I expected us to bend over in the second leg against Fiorentina under Moyes but instead we put in possibly the best performance of Moyes' tenure.

And we still got knocked out.

Not too sure if this counts as liverpool technically were crap once gerrard went off but the fa cup derby back in 2009.

The last genuine game that gave me joy with everton, 119th minute goal to knock them out, what football genuinely is for us fans with games like that.

The Cadamarteri derby is the one that sticks out for me. Still not entirely sure how that happened.

Honestly though the quarter final against Chelsea this season was absolutely boss and I expected us to concede a late goal and lose 1-0 the longer the clock ticked on. Then when Rom scored I expected them to win 2-1. Then when he scored again I expected us to draw 2-2. Couldn't believe it. Scenes.

3-0 against the RS in '06 was a surprise.

Joe Royles first game and everything that followed was a season of surprise including the FA Cup win. Just showed you how Royle got a bunch of players believing in themselves and they played for each other and just as importantly they played for him.

This! I was in the top balc that night and it looked like they where playing for pens, shandy with a cross and gosling scoring, I swear the balcony moved it went that mad, then got hugged by some random big fella, that's the only time it's acceptable, then straight back on the ale
