Media relishing Everton’s demise

Football has turned in to a horrible industry. It’s so clear that there’s corruption and collusion to aid the biggest teams.

It’s just not proper sport anymore, it’s a closed shop that’s been commercialised to the maximum and they still want more.
Saturday afternoons, EVERY team playing at the same time, reading the results in pink echo on the bus home to north Wales. Can’t wait for the day the whole thing implodes and we get a reset. Football has lost its soul somewhere along the way.

Ffs, the conspiracies here never end. So your dodgy owners spent a ton of money badly and this is is where you are. It happens to all kinds of teams. All this talk of it being a corrupt system is frankly just sour grapes from some fans who can't seem to deal with the POSSIBILITY of relegation (note the emphasis there) I bet had the 0.5 billion spent worked out better you would not be saying saying that "it's a closed shop etc etc"

As an aside, in my opinion the big 6 is kinda untrue these days anyway. There is 3 - RS, Man C and Chelski (and depending on the takeover of Chelski that might become 2) Man Utd certainly don't qualify based on recent history, just overall history and when you think about it Spurs and Arsenal haven't been too great for a while.

The "top 6" is breakable with smart investment in the right people and facilities - of that I am certain. Its just that isn't what Everton did in the last years.

PS. and that is why they media love it!

Thank you for your input John and have a lovely evening.

Thank you for your input John and have a lovely evening.
I am having a lovely evening watching the Snooker thanks, I hope you are enjoying the evening too.

Obviously I am hopeful that NUFC get a result tomorrow (unlikely but possible) which I think most of you would appreciate ;-)

BTW: I have seen several people predict the results of teams in "the zone" and most Evertonians appear to think that Newcastle will be on holiday by the last game vs Burnley. I highly doubt that this will be the case. Sure maybe we don't win but it won't be for lack of trying!

hi John,

What is your opinion on teams playing the RS and City never being awarded penalties despite them being rather obvious handballs/pushes, and Mo salad gets them at will when the wind blows him over?

I'd be delighted John if Newcastle turn up tomorrow and give them a game.

I've got to be honest though John, I can't see that happening but let's hope you pull off a shock result.

Bad decisions have always occurred (pre and post VAR) it is nothing new, I recall NUFC going over a season with no penalty awarded to us (despite a couple being quite clear) fortunately that wasn't one of our relegation years.

You asked for my opinion though so here it is: We can all review the minutiae of decisions that cost our teams, and it is painful if you feel totally robbed in a match. Ultimately though that is not what relegates teams. 9 times out of 10 it is bad decisions at the board level these days and the effect that can have on fans and players.

We aren't one of the Sky six, haven't won anything in decades and there's a huge red contingent in the media, so we get kicked for under achieving. In fairness our owner/board has made an utter mess of it. One thing I won't miss if we drop is the one eye'd biased against us.

Sniff sniff - are you sure you John from Geordieshire?

We’re not saying the Everton boardroom isn’t an absolute clusterfuck of an omnishambles chief, we know they’ve bolloxed things up totally and the vast majority of Evertonians want moshiri and the rest of them volleyed into the sun.

Alls we’re saying is there have been far too many very very iffy decisions this season affecting our league position, that simply haven’t been called correctly, or var-ed correctly, including your mate voldemorts tackle on Gordon.

Best of luck breaking into the top six fella.

Are you suggesting that the Barcodes could be the team to break through? Good luck with that.
In all honesty "I'd love it :)" but given I am 45 years old and only seen us win the Championship a couple of times and an "intertoto cup" I won't be holding my breath. Doesn't stop me loving NUFC though - thick or thin.

You can refer to my other reply re "NUFC breaking the top 6"
