Another year loan in the championship should be on the cards again this season. Not the quickest defender but still young and wouldn't be the worst thing in the world to have him on the books as squad player down the line.

..i’m still amazed he was recently given a new 3 year contract. I fear he will be another millstone around our neck given how he struggled for game time at Leeds last season and how much deadwood we already had in central defensive positions.

He’s apparently a smashing lad with a huge intellect but we have to make football decisions. I might have this wrong, but I fear he will always struggle for game time.

He's basically the new McAleny.

He'll never make it as a Premier League regular, not even for a team scrapping to avoid relegation. Hes 24 in October, if he was going to cut it, he would have done it 3 years a go. Just cut him loose.

It’s not just one game, he’s played several games in the Premier League now and it was evident from day 1 that he was miles out of his depth. Why he’s still at the club and playing games I have no idea.

..I gather he’s a model professional and there were reports Leeds were wanting to take him on a permanent deal. What amazed me was the decision to give him a major contract before Brands and Silva arrived. He’s not in the youngster category anymore, he’s 23.
