Sure we bought Tony Thomas off playing a preseason at Tranmere when he played a blinder.

Only time he did mind you

He had a decent game against Bolton I think, set up a couple of goals for Ferguson

Lewis Dobbin has just had a wonderful Solo effort, broke from our box following a tramere corner. Beat 3 players but a last ditch tackle stopped him as he went to shoot.

Interestingly, Dyche is here and not at Wigan. Maybe he was dissuaded by the rail strikes...

I really like that he’s there, basically assessing who is first team ready, who needs a loan and who needs canning/selling (IMO)

Full time, 1-1, both teams pushing at the end but no breakthrough. Would have to give our MOTM to Dobbin, was lively and threatened throughout.

Attendance was just shy of 4000, apparently around 700 in the Everton end and I would say roughly 1/3 to 1/2 of those in the home end were blues. Great turnout for a U21 game.

Dobbin and Mills looked decent. Kouyate was okay in the first but faded and was subbed. The CB alongside Holgate had a decent game as well, I think it's one of Hunt or Astley.

Hard to judge in these games though.

Astley is the CB.

Warrington was the stand out player for me. Tidy but didn't do anything outstanding.

Edit: I'd be very surprised if any of these have an impact for the first team this year though.
