2020/21 Mason Holgate

I said earlier in the season that this was a big one for Mason. He's not a kid anymore and he needed to establish himself in the way DCL had. He's not looking any closer to doing that with two months left of the season than he was then. He'll be a fine squad player for a lower half top flight side, but I'm not sure he's up to holding down a place in a team with supposed ambitions...

....weird how everybody is turning on him now, but when he was playing well I said Coleman is a superior RB & got lots of stick.

Holgate is fine as a squad player but he doesn’t get into the side as first choice in any position. I remain consistent in that view.

Terrible from Ancelotti tonight, if we are playing a deep back 4 it's understandable but when you need a proper outlet you can't be picking Holgate.
