Maybe a full-back because he is quick and could improve.

We all have to hope that Mina and Keane make it to Xmas without injury.

No chance with mina injury record so far with us he only just got over a hamstring injury. Lets hope the guy a strong leader.

What I saw of him I was impressed, coming around to the idea of him being no3 CB.

The lad will be ok, at 22 he is young for centre back. Had Zlatan in pocket 3 years ago, so he has been inconsistent part and parcel of a young centre back, much is about experience and game time...

I’m quietly happy we will be force to play kids, it’s about time we start to have more faith in them. Good natural ability with good exposure is the ingredient for success. Holgate has the natural ability to be successful.

In Chinese crisis and opportunity mean the same thing. Good fortune is a central component in young players making the grade. Holgate has had an enormous dose of good fortune. He's first reserve. There is every chance he gets an opportunity and will more than likely start in the league cup. He has to seize those chances and show what he has learnt. He's certainly filled out. So lets see.

It was probably always intended that he was going to stay as fourth choice anyway as we were never going to get more than one centre half, I think this means Gbamin is fourth choice and Gibson fifth.
