If it was Rodgers I'd be tearing strips out of him for it.

It's 100% utter tripe, and his refusal to acknowledge he's at fault at all and change tack is outright worrying.

I'd be OK with it if I thought it was one thing for public consumption and another in practice, but you just know he believes it as nothing in his managerial career thus far suggests he has or desires a plan B.

Worrying.

At least he didn't spend £110 million to achieve that performance. Like that Kopite waffle waffle beaut.

But still. Nil Satis means we MUST do better.

Get Naismith back pronto.

@davek is to blame hexing him

Someone spinkle the holy water on Naisy.

You're dead right. If it was Rodgers we'd all be laughing our heads off.

I fully understand that a manager might have to bend the truth every now and again but not when its so bloody obvious how poor we are.

It's a bit of a lack of respect for us fans. We're not stupid people (apart from Azul OBVS) but he speaks like we are.

Martinez teams are easy on the eye but let's not forget he relegated Wigan. It depends where you see yourself going as a club, as a fanbase, as a team.

He makes the perfect 'Yes Man' for your chairman. But will he bring silverware, will be bring Champions League football? The jury is out.

I say stick with him - who are the better options? Managers like Klopp won't go to Everton, they'll be looking at jobs with Man City or Arsenal if they want to come to the Prem League.

I like Roberto Martinez, a good manager, nice guy. But his teams are TOO nice - Everton have no grit, no nasty streak - which is vital, especially in the English top flight.

He also couldn't build a good defence if his life depended on it. If you get in a defensive coach then I'd predict only good things for Everton because at the other end of the pitch, Roberto's teams look decent. However, if you keep on shipping goals like you are, you'll be lucky to get 6th this season. And I mean that in the nicest way, I like Everton and wish you well.

I just typed all of that without any pants on btw.

Who currently has his side rock bottom of the Bundesliga.

And you say we have no grit or nasty streak, so I imagine you're unfamiliar with McCarthy, Besic and Barry.

You can't really judge Klopp on this season's Dortmund. I usually look at a manager's CV and past when comparing them. Klopp is a very, very good coach & manager. He's won league titles in a league usually dominated by Bayern Munich and also took them to a European Cup final, playing attractive football along the way. It's a pity that Bayern poach all of their players - it's farcical really.

I am not in agreement on McCarthy and Barry - they don't appear to be 'grit' players but you know your team much better than I do. I haven't seen much of Besic although I've heard he's a very decent player.

Why not? If you can judge Martinez on this seasons' Everton.

Oh and you don't think James McCarthy has grit? The lid is the most determined footballer I've ever seen. He runs more miles in a game than a killer whale swims per day. He laughs in the face of fatigue and doesn't understand tiredness. Remember that comet that was apparently heading towards Earth? James McCarthy tackled it. James McCarthy is the dictionary definition of hard.

I suggest you don't speak about James like that again because he could be at your house on foot within 5 minutes and slidey you right through the TV.

I simply don't believe that.

Barry has a bit of a snide streak in him now and again, McCarthy goes in strong somtimes gets it wrong. They are no Lee Cattermole but they have their moments.

Would love Klopp to give us a go if the opportunity arose but at this time I am happy with Martinez, the players seem to be in panic mode (not just at the back) and are struggling to find that little bit of form but they are good enough and Martinez is good enough (in my opinion).

I reckon their is a fair few under cover lurking kopites on here and they are the ones voting for him to be sacked , its the only explanation I can think of.
