Think a draw is likely, but if there was ever a time to beat this team away, this is it. Lots of injuries, not playing particularly well. Just need to not give them the ball. Hope Lerma has a stinker and counter press the heck out of them all day.

Let's hope Eddie Howe gets bold and tries to come after us with his 4-4-2 thinking he's at home and is going to win. That would be terrific.

If he didn’t want to come, you use the team of scouts you have at your disposal and, based on the two years advance warning of of poor forward play we’ve shown, you go and find another striker proven at the top level, domestically and in Europe, with a far greater chance of coming in and hitting the ground running.

What you don’t do is pay big money for a completely unproven 19 year old kid and inevitably (albeit indirectly) lump all the goalscoring responsibility on him.

It was a bad decision. It’s one that Silva will eventually take the fall for, but Brands isn’t blameless - people seem to pick and choose what aspect of the club he has a hand in and what he doesn’t to suit their agenda.

Correct and he was wrong. Very wrong. Brands and Silva made a catastrophic mistake in allowing us to start the season with no competent, proven striker. I firmly believe it should cost Silva his job unless we’re all wrong and things dramatically change for the better in the coming months - as we all hope to be the case.

I honestly believe that whether we play 4-3-3, 4-2-3-1 or whatever else, even different personnel, under Silva we will always be this boring, predictable side that can be defensively sloppy. I have no idea what he does with them on the training pitch. If people are happy to finish in the 8th - 10th spots then he's fine. We will win a few games at home, beat the occasional top side at home and get beat by the majority of teams away. He will start Richie, Iwobi, DCL or Kean, and Siggy every week. Then he'll sub two of them for Bernard and Walcott (to be precise in between 60 and 80 mins of the game) and play Morgan whenever Delph or Gomes isn't fit. If I can predict that, imagine what opposing teams figure out when they play an ever predictable, slow paced, Marco Silva side.....

I had high hopes but he’s no better than Martinez or Ronkoe.

If there isn’t anyone suitable out there (and i’m Not sure Mourinho is the answer) I would get Moyse back in. And im not joking!
