It might just be the players.

He played more of his tactics today with Schneiderlin sitting deep - looked a bit more like his 4-3-3. Imagine that style with more quality after the summer. Could be great.

Thats right, more of a 433 style but with Sigurdsson still further advanced.

Interesting to see what changes in the summer.

There's a few different ways of looking at it - if he's capable of getting results like this, then you have to question either his tactical consistency or the mental application of the players. Because that Fulham performance was the antithesis of today.

It's one or the other. I don't know whether to prefix this sentence with "unfortunately", but he's got himself next season now. We'll have to see how it goes.

Yep.

Hopefully we will continue to perform. Absolutely fantastic today. Can’t deny that.

We just need consistency.

Consistency takes time though. And a better squad.

If we played like that every game we’d be challenging ffs.

People need to be a bit more realistic.

We are definitely moving in the right direction. Give it time and the consistency will come.

Relegation with Hull, and Watford were in freefall under him.I think when you hire a lower end of the table manager, then don't be surprised if you do find yourself residing in the 11th to 12th place zone of nowhereness and mediocrity. At any of the other big clubs in this league this wouldn't be tolerated. The aim was to compete for a top six place, and Silva has fallen well short of the mark on that front.
We have seen good and bad from Everton this season. But the good has been really good.I honestly think we have seen enough, to suggest that Silva will be a big success here.

Out of possession, we were still sitting in a 4-4-2, but Siggy did drop a bit deeper. His distribution should be fine and he can definitely move the ball quickly. He can definitely score outside of the box, so it will be interesting.

People can change opinion no? He didnt help himself with how vulnerable we were with set pieces and that run of form was genuine relegation form but he sorted it out.

It's going to take time but there were signs from the first few games he was going to get more out of these players than what weve seen. As a manager all he can do is get the most out of them, set them up to play to their strengths and hes done that imo from very early on. The players are into it now, the new players have settled well and we have a stable first 11 that plays to pretty much every single players strengths. Looking forward to summer and next season.

The open play form was fine, more than fine. We just gave up a bunch of set piece goals. Pretty simple.

Most of those matches we had possession, out chanced out opponents, every peripheral stat indicated the matches were if anything in our favor. It happens.

Doesn't mean Marco is a genius, just means that we weren't getting trounced like others suggested and that this current run wasn't unpredictable.

We had the opposite with BFS, where we got very fortunate with points against teams we were not getting the better of. So kudos to Silva.

Great performance from all of them today , and Silva must get his share of the credit for that.
That said , the overall season has been a massive letdown i.e. 15 points off 6th is simply unacceptable.
That said the recent wins over the so called "big 6" give hope for the future.

Why? Even in Koeman’s first season we were about 15 points off 7th. We still have work to do to get to the level of the top 6, we all knew that.
