We need to stop the kneejerk reactions. It would be all too easy to sack Silva and bring in a caretaker manager. Then in the summer bring in someone else but what happens when they inevitably have a bad run. Do we get shut and continue to tailspin. The sad reality is that we should finish between 7th and 12th and not win a cup.

The top 6 have far more money than us. Far better squads and have had years to build their Clubs up. We stagnated under Bill and are playing catch up. The only way we will catch those ahead if us is to have stability and to be smarter than the clubs above us. That is not as exciting as the rush that sacking a manager and hoping for a miracle brings but it is far more pragmatic and realistic.

Brands and Silva have only been here 5 minutes and we shouldn't expect miracles. Give them the rest of this season and then next season and then see where we are.
Have you watched us since the Liverpool game mate? Disgrace with the players we have and what has been spent. That was just embarrassing then.

He's also said many times the players are working every day to improve. And improvement would yield better results.

Isn't that the point? No improvement, doing the same things that fail every time expecting different results, point blank refusing to change anything mid-game before the 60th minute, zonal marking non-stop despite not being able to do it.

No pragmatism, just arrogance with no ability to back it up.

Well we certainly were showing improvement. The issue has been since the Liverpool game.

So using recent weeks as the context, you're right.

I think it should be broader than that.

Difficult to see where our points are coming from going forward. We can't win away, can't defend and have extremely tough home games. Have zero faith in him turning things round dramatically.

So getting a win against a bottom of the table Championship team is considered a miracle?

In 2003 a Moyes team comprising of Wright, Clarke, Stubbs, Weir, Unsworth (McLeod 90), Carsley, Gemmill (Tie Li 76), Gravesen (Alexandersson 45), Naysmith, Radzinski, Rooney. lost to Shrewsbury who were propping up the entire League. A season later we finished 4th and qualified for the Champions League.
