Straight question: if you were hired by Everton as manager would you believe that you'd get full cooperation from all senior players and coaches?

God no. I'm not so much disagreeing with your assessment they are trouble, because I don't know and assume you know your facts. I'm saying that consecutive managers have made an active decision to keep them so they must be of use in some way.

...or they're under the mistaken belief they have some special place in the fans hearts and to get shut of them would cause a stir...perhaps amongst the local media too.

These people who aren't on the gravy train coaching staff already will be looking to pick up a coaching role when they retire. Baines for one will hanging around until kingdom come bleeding it dry when he retires.

I'm still concerned with getting out the existing clique who are still here and stinking like a bag full of rotten kippers stuffed behind a stud wall.

Jags + baines are in their final season
Keane wont see the first 11 soon

Play Jagielka and Baines in the LC games and any easy early round of the FA Cup....though I'm still hopefull we can find a League One or Championship club to take them.

I don't see them dumping Baines, but if Zouma comes, that's a lot of CBs. Jags isn't going to play eventually. It's certainly possible. I was kind of hoping for Rojo, as he can play LB easily. Not sure there's recall ability on Jedi, if there is, certainly we could move Baines.

Imagine the pressure on the existing players most of whom will be starting the season. I can't remember this amount of competition for places. Think of all the crap we were forced to select last season because of a lack of competition. It has to be in our favour, and if existing players start playing blinders then it gives Marco something to think about.
