Marcelo Bielsa

I'm still of the mind that this will end in disaster, but a few benefits that Bielsa would bring and Dyche would not:
  1. He's hugely respected and would attract players from around the world, even to the Championship if the worst happened.
  2. The standards he would set would give us a good platform for the future - even if he only stayed for 2/3 seasons.
  3. We'd have a manager with a philosophy and clear identity for the first time in ages.

Someone who might know more about french football might be more qualified to answer this. But when he took over at lille i read he showed 12 or 13 players the door immediately and replaced them with younger pacey players. Lille won the french title two years later(not under him)
But did he start that.

Would just like to add that whilst I’m not scouse this part is wildly irrelevant and has no place on this part of the forum.

What absolute horsesh!T - the values of our manager are a key part of his make-up. Just as if he had a history of racial or homophobic abuse he'd be dead to us. A Tory 'me-first' attitude is unacceptable at this club.

Give up on our values then give up on our club.

Before their drop off the proverbial cliff under Bielsa, Leeds turnaround from championship plodders to winning the league at a canter was impressive. Even when they got to the premiere league, their clear identity as an attacking high energy team was great to watch. We might not have the players to meet 'peak Bielsa' at the moment, but he will certainly give them a clear identity, instead of the meh bland nothingness that we have seen so far this season.
