I was in Bangkok last year when they had floods.....now the same here -- perhaps I'm an OMEN and they should send me to the desert.....

not corrupt any longer it seems, most of the corrupt creatures have been ousted this and last year.....including the attorney general.

You've got to be kidding, Aquino is trying but it's too deep rooted. He's not had a lot of success in the courts yet

I work with about 15 phillipnos. Aquino isn't bad but the govt is horribly corrupt. Each representive gets a couple mil to spend on his district on various projects. It all ends up going to the pol and his cronies. Much of the country is edcuated, if the govt actually did something they could have been an economic power in asia. Instead the only hope for them is to get a family member employed in a middle class job in Europe/US.

If you saw the amount of construction going on over here (and not just manila) you'd be surprised.....much more dramatic than singapore/malaysia have gone through in the past decade.....a lot has changed here....+ now 3 investment grades up since 2 years ago -- one more for A grade rating.
