The difference is, the Fulham player wasn't "trying to win the ball" though was he. He was in possession of, and in control of, the ball, and performed a totally natural move and placed his foot in a totally natural position to complete that move. The fact that the ref called it a "careless challenge" is just laughable, it wasn't even a challenge at all, let alone a careless one.

100% agree mate. If anything the Chelsea player shouldn't be putting his feet in the way of where the Fulham player might step. The fact the VAR and ref watched that in slow motion and came to completely the wrong conclusion is concerning. It shows a complete lack of understanding of the game.

There needs to be a dedicated forum/podcast where all the non scab6 teams can show the refereeing inconsistencies when playing them in a game, call it the ‘14voices’ podcast, where each team is represented and is allowed to share their thoughts each week on VAR and Referees performance.
It’s be interesting to see much, or how little media attention it received.
